Hawk Circle believes in active, adventure and experience based learning, and you can still take part in our offerings, even if you are home-schooled and not part of a formal school 'class'.   We enjoy working with younger students, (10-12) as well as older age groups up to age 18.   Programs can be scheduled that are similar to our Class Trip Intensives in terms of contents and themes, or they can be custom designed to meet your particular groups specific needs and abilities.    We enjoy working with students who are complete beginners, as well as the more experienced students who need challenges to match their skill level.

During our programs, special attention is given to create opportunities to learn about each other, where students can interact through teambuilding experiences, tracking groups, games and music circles around the fire.   This can help all students strengthen their connection to each other in the beauty of the natural world.

You can be sure that our programs will leave your group feeling renewed, with a sense of accomplishement and inner confidence that comes from having developed real skills in the company of positive staff and friends.

If you are part of a home-schooling group and want to take part in a wilderness program here at Hawk Circle, p lease call (607) 264-3396 for more information.

Good Words about the Hawk Circle Homeschool Programs:

My guys, Brennan and Tom McEntee, just returned dirty, smelly, and happy from their week at Hawk Circle. Both were positively jubilant about all they learned and did. They feel so good about their experience that they are already talking about next April. They report counselors who were knowledgeable, attentive to physical needs (warmth), safety conscience, and most importantly fun. Each one seems to have brought something very special to share and it took. My son has trouble taking in and remembering information, especially verbal information, but all he learned is pouring out of him right now -- they are both overflowing with stories.

I can't thank you and your dedicated and gifted staff enough for creating such a positive experience. This last week was everything and more that I had hoped and dreamed of for my son (and husband). I only hope I can work it out so that I can also attend next April.

Kudos to you all,
Kim Kimble
